The first season of the Big Cricket League (BCL) was excellent. In the first season, more than 1.5 million people were stood on Sony Sports Network and Fankode, ie more than 1.5 crore people. The Big Cricket League, held in Surat from 12 to 22 December 2024, overtook many other league debut figures. The BCL season 1 was broadcast on Sony TV, Sony Liv and Fankode, in which 6 teams played 18 matches. The league included cricket legends like Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, Yusuf Pathan, Herschel Gibbs, Imran Tahir and Tilakaratne Dilshan.
In its first season, the BCL achieved a total of 20 crores on digital, print and social media platforms. The first Cricket League of its kind, BCL brought together 48 former international and first class cricketers and 60 amateur cricketers around the world, who were selected after trials held all over India.
The first season of the league was won by Mumbai Marines, the franchise of Supreme Court's chief lawyer Sana Rais Khan. This team played under the captaincy of former Indian pacer Irfan Pathan. Big Cricket League season 1 saw many amateur cricketers becoming stars, on which many people got their eyes.

After the success of season 1, there is a chance for amateur cricketers as the Big Cricket League has started registering for season 2 and trials will start in March 2025. More popular international cricketers are expected to be involved in season 2 of the Big Cricket League.
