BCCI's prestigious league Ranji Trophy is now moving toward its final stage. The team reaching the semi-finals of the tournament is about to be decided.

Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Mumbai Saurashtra, and Gujarat teams have reached the quarter-finals. According to the report, the quarter-final match of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 between Mumbai and Haryana has been shifted from Lahli to Kolkata. The BCCI has made this change at the last moment for some special reason.

According to the report of The Indian Express, the Haryana Cricket Board and Mumbai Cricket Association were informed about this change by BCCI Game Development Manager Abe Kuruvilla by email. Quoting an MCA source, the daily said that the match which was earlier to be played in Lahli will now be held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

However, there is no official explanation for this sudden change. The report said that the weather could be a concern. The quarter-final between Jammu & Kashmir and Kerala was also shifted from Srinagar to Pune due to "potential weather-related concerns".

Maharashtra Cricket Association President Rohit Pawar said in a statement on Sunday, "We have good infrastructure to host a cricket match, and I am sure it will be a great sports experience for both the teams in these conditions."

Mumbai and Haryana will clash.

Mumbai team, which includes India's Test players Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, and Shardul Thakur, was defeated by Jammu and Kashmir on home ground. After this, Mumbai defeated Meghalaya to register an innings victory and secured a place in the last eight by getting bonus points. On the other hand, Haryana qualified after registering a big win of 284 runs over Bengal.
