The Goenka Group already owns the Lucknow Super Giants franchise in the IPL, which is the most expensive franchise in the league. RPSG bought this franchise with a bid of about Rs 7092 crore in the 2021 auction.
Apart from this, the group also has the Durban Super Giants franchise in the SA20. Now the franchise of Goenka Group has spread to three countries in franchise cricket. He has become the second franchise of the IPL to buy the team in The Hundred. Earlier, Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industry bought a 49 per cent stake in about 61 million pounds in Oval Invinsables. Apart from these two, the co-owner GMR Group bought Hapshar County Cricket Club in Delhi Capitals. In such a situation, it is believed that they will also buy a share in the Southern Brave.
