The aggressive batting was on full display during the five T20Is against England, and the host registered a 4-1 series win. Former player Parthiv Patel lauded the sub-continent team and credited the past captain and coach and the current team management.

“The defeat against England in the semi-final of the 2021 T20 World Cup changed the way India play this format. It is the collective effort of the players and the team management. Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma started it and now Gautam Gambhir and Suryakumar Yadav are carrying it forward,” Parthiv Patel said on Star Sports.
