UP Warriorz have named West Indies all-rounder Chinelle Henry as a replacement for Alyssa Healy for the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025. After the Women's Ashes, where Australia won 16-0 at home, keeping in mind the ODI World Cup to be held on Indian soil later this year.
Healy has had issues with knee and foot, forcing her to miss matches in the Women's T20 World Cup, Women's Big Bash League 2024 and the T20I leg of the Ashes.
"Unfortunately for me, I've got a couple of months feet up. I'm pretty bummed by that, but at the same time elated to have a little bit of downtime and try and get my body right. But I'm looking forward to sticking my feet in an ice bucket," Healy had said after Australia beat England by an innings and 122 runs in the Day-Night Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
As far as Henry is concerned, the 29-year-old has 473 runs and 22 wickets to her name from 62 T20Is. Back in December 2024, Henry scored a 16-ball 43 against India in Navi Mumbai. Henry also plays for the Barbados Royals in the Women's Caribbean Premier League (WCPL).
RCB rope in Heather Graham, Kim Garth
Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) also suffered a couple of body blows after English all-rounder Kate Cross and New Zealand veteran Sophie Devine pulled out due to 'personal reasons'. The RCB have roped in the Australian duo of Heather Graham and Kim Garth as replacements for the upcoming season.
Graham took a T20I hat-trick against India back in 2022. Garth, on the other hand, was with the Gujarat Giants and also picked up a five-wicket haul for them. Both Garth and Graham joined RCB at their base price of INR 30 lakhs. Earlier, due to injury.
