India's Under-19 women's cricket team created history by winning the T20 World Cup title. Under the captaincy of Nikki Prasad, the Indian team defeated South Africa by 9 wickets in the final held on Sunday 2 February. With the victory in this final in Kuala Lumpur, the Indian team won the tournament title for the second consecutive time. Although apart from senior cricket, the ICC did not give any cash prize to Team India for winning this title, but the Board of Control for Cricket in India took full care of its winners in this matter. The board has announced a reward of Rs 5 crore for the World Champion team.
