India vs England 4th T20I: India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya made history by scoring a brilliant half-century at the fourth T20 International at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Friday (31 January). Hardik, who came out to bat at number 7, scored an innings of 53 runs in 30 balls, in which he hit 4 fours and 4 sixes. During this innings, he made some special records.
Virat Kohli's record broke
Hardik has become the highest number of T20 International runs scorers for India in the middle of the 16 to 20th over. He has now scored 1068 runs at a stake rate of 174,23. He left behind Virat Kohli in this list, scoring 1032 runs at a stic rate of 192.54. MS Dhoni (152.02 SR) with 1014 runs is at number three in the list.
The first Indian to do so
Hardik has become the first player in India to score fifty or more runs while batting at number 5, 6 and 7 in T20 International. Apart from him at number 7, only Akshar Patel has scored a half-century in T20 International.
Shikhar Dhawan left behind
Hardik has reached number five in the list of players who have scored the most runs in T20 International for India. He has now scored 1803 runs in 89 innings of 113 matches. He overtook Shikhar Dhawan in this list, named 1759 runs in 66 innings of 68 matches. Now Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul are ahead of him.
Significantly, in this match, India defeated England by 15 runs. With this, India has taken a 3–1 lead in the five-match series. After getting the first batting invitation, India scored 181 runs at the loss of 9 wickets, in response to which the England team was all out for 166 runs in 19.4 overs.
