Former India wicketkeeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha has announced his retirement from domestic cricket, due to which he received a guard of honor from his colleagues from Bengal on the second day of the Ranji Trophy match against Punjab at Eden Gardens. Saha, who joined Bengal in November 2024, announced to play in his last domestic season.

Now, when the Bengal could not qualify for the knockout of the Ranji Trophy, Saha announced his last match and for this the players honored him with the Guard of Honor and the Cricket Association of Bengal also greeted him. Saha posted pictures on her Instagram account and wrote, “After a memorable journey in cricket, this season will be my last season. I am proud to represent Bengal only while playing in Ranji Trophy before retiring. Make the season memorable. ”

The cricketer thanked CAB President Snehashish Ganguly and his comrades, coaches and fans who have supported him for years. Explaining the reason behind the move, Saha said that he is not ready to play the role of a mentally coach and that is why he turned it down.
