Just before the Champions Trophy, a famous player has put a brake on his international career. But this player is not from India but from Afghanistan. Shapoor Jadaran, who has played for Afghanistan, has announced retirement from international cricket. At the age of 37, he has removed himself from all the formats of cricket. Shapoor Jadaran was a fast bowler. Now the magic of his speed will not be seen on cricket pitches. He wrote a long wide post on Facebook, announcing his reality.
Jadran announced his retirement on January 30 through a Facebook post. He wrote in the post, 'Sannyas. Today is the day I never wanted to face, but it finally comes for every player. After 22 years of service, sacrifice and love for cricket, I officially announce my retirement from international cricket. This has been one of the most difficult decisions of my life because cricket has been more than just one game for me, this has been my passion, my identity and my purpose '.
Jadaran further wrote, 'Since childhood I dreamed of representing Afghanistan, and now I look back, I am proud to play a role in hoisting the flag of our country on the international stage. My journey started in the most challenging time of Afghan cricket. I faced difficulties. Played in limited resources and crossed many obstacles, but I never lost faith. Cricket fans, my colleagues, coaches and especially my family support helped me overcome every difficulty. I thank all those who stood with me during this long journey. My family, friends, fans and the love, prayers and unwavering support of the people of Afghanistan are my biggest strength '.
In 2009, Jadaran started his international career. And played his last match in March 2020. Jadaran was part of the Afghanistan team in the 2015 World Cup. During this time, when Afghanistan won the first victory of his World Cup history against Scotland, the victorious run came out of Jadran's bat.
