Champions Trophy Opening Ceremony: Pakistan is going to host the Champions Trophy in the next few days under the hybrid model. The tournament will start from 19 February and the final match will be played on 9 March. According to the PTI report, the Pakistan Cricket Board and ICC are going to organize a grand opening ceremony on 16 February in Lahore before the beginning of this mega event.

The report states that PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has approved a fixed list of programs before the match between Pakistan and New Zealand on 19 February. The PCB will officially inaugurate the renovated Gadafi Stadium on 7 February. It will include Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Nadeem as the main guest. Apart from them, invitation will also be sent to other people associated with the board and some famous celebrities.

Will Rohit Sharma participate in the opening ceremony?

Indian captain Rohit Sharma will have visited Lahore for photoshoots and press conferences for this tournament, yet no statement has been revealed from the ICC and PCB.
