Virat Kohli participated in the practice session with the players of the Delhi team from 28 January. He also played football with the players. When Virat was carrying his cricket kit, Mahesh Bhati asked some players to help him. But Virat did not let this happen.
Mahesh Bhati and Virat Kohli have known each other for years. During Virat's under-17 and under-19 days, Mahesh trained him. Now he is the manager of Delhi team. Talking to the Times of India, he said, 'I said,' Virat, help you. He replied, 'Brother, what are you talking about? I have a playing item, I will take myself. He picked up the kit bag on his shoulders and went inside the dressing room '.
Bhati further said, 'I was a coach when Virat played under-19. He played in my coaching. We have had a good relationship since the beginning. I also like to recite jokes and he too. Therefore, we were refreshing old memories and talking. The first thing he asked, "Brother, don't boys play on matting anymore?" I said, 'You have gone mad! Now there will be no matting in Delhi '. Mahesh Bhati further said, 'He said that he used to play a cut shot and bridge shot on matting. Virat further said, 'Brother, fun was big in the bridge, the voice used to come right'.
