New Zealand batsman Amelia Kerr has created history. She has been voted ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year for the year 2024. Amelia is the fourth in the world and the first female cricketer in her country. She was awarded the Rachel Heho Flint Trophy after becoming the ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year.

The Rachel Heho Flint Trophy for the ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year was first given in the year 2017. Prior to Amelia Kerr, the award was won by three women cricketers 2-2 times, one of which is Ellis Perry of Australia, Smriti Mandhana of India and Nat Sear of England. That is, this is the first time that the women cricketer of the year is made beyond those 3 women cricketers.
