Chris Martin, the frontman of Coldplay, dedicated a special song to Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah on Day 2 of the band’s concert at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Bumrah attended the event and was seen laughing after his name was taken by Martin.
Martin honoured the best bowler in the world by composing a song for him. He called him the best in hhe whole world and mentioned about his bowling against England.
“Jasprit, Jasprit, Jasprit my beautiful brother. The best bowler in the whole of cricket. We do not enjoy watching you destroy England with wicket after wicket.”
The videos of Bumrah dismissing Ollie Pope, Ben Duckett, and Ben Stokes from the team’s five-match Test series against England in 2024 were shown on the big screen.
Jasprit Bumrah took 32 wickets in five Tests against Australia and was adjudged the Player of the Series for picking up 32 wickets across nine innings at a brilliant average of 13.06. However, he was injured during the last Test in Sydney and is currently out of action.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named in the Indian team for the three ODI series against England and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 but the right-arm seamer is doubtful, considering his injury.
