Shikhar Dhawan returns to the Indian team

Delhi: Former Indian cricket team opener Shikhar Dhawan, also known as 'Gabbar', will once again be seen representing India on the field. Dhawan will play for the Indian champion team in the second season of the World Championship of Legends (WCL).

In this tournament, many former legendary players of India will be part of the Indian champion team. In the last edition, players like Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Ambati Rayudu, Robin Uthappa and Yuvraj Singh were included in the team.

Team co-owner Sumant Bahl said, “With Shikhar Dhawan joining the team, our strength will increase. We are focused on retaining our title as winners of the first season of the WCL. “We will retain some of the great players from last year and also include new players to further strengthen the team.”

On being a part of the World Championship of Legends, Shikhar Dhawan said, “Such formats inspire us to return to the field. This will help me continue my passion of playing competitive cricket.”

League CEO Harshit Tomar said, “The arrival of a player like Shikhar Dhawan will further increase the enthusiasm of fans towards WCL. Our aim is to bring back the golden era of cricket, and we are confident that we are moving towards this goal.”

It is noteworthy that the Indian champion team had won the title of the first season of WCL.
