Everyone's attention is focused on the performance of Rohit Sharma in the Ranji Trophy match being played in Mumbai but the captain of the Indian Test team has failed in it. But apart from Rohit's performance, some such drama happened on the second day of the match, which was rarely seen before. After giving out a batsman, he was called back not from the boundary but directly from the dressing room. This batsman was Mumbai cricket team captain Ajinkya Rahane, who was given life by the umpires and there was a huge uproar over this.

The second day of the match being played between Mumbai and Jammu and Kashmir at the MCA-BKC Ground took place on Friday, January 24. Jammu and Kashmir had taken a big lead in the first innings, after which Mumbai once again suffered the consequences of the failure of its top order in the second innings. Batsmen like Rohit and Yashasvi Jaiswal failed. In such a situation, the responsibility was on captain Ajinkya Rahane but he too got out early and then drama happened.

First given out, then called back

Actually Rahane tried to play the ball on the leg stump of Umar Nazir but he failed and the wicketkeeper appealed for catch. The umpires gave him out, on which Rahane looked unhappy and also pointed out that the ball did not hit his bat but he had to return to the pavilion. The Mumbai captain had returned to the pavilion and was sitting in the dressing room and the new batsman Shardul Thakur had reached the halfway point but then the on-field umpires stopped him and asked him to go back.

Soon, on the request of the umpires, Rahane was called back from the dressing room and returned to the pitch. This surprised even the players of Jammu and Kashmir. This was done because the third umpire had declared Umar Nazir's ball a no-ball. However, the surprise was that the no-ball and its replay were not shown during the broadcast of the match.

Third umpire explained the reason for the decision

According to the report of Cricbuzz, the broadcast team said that the video feed of the third umpire is not available to them. In the report, quoting third umpire Nitin Goyal, it has been said that due to a misunderstanding regarding the connection in the walkie-talkie, he could not inform the on-field umpire about the no-ball in time, due to which there was difficulty in conveying the decision to the umpire. It took time.

As far as Rahane is concerned, it was a big gift of life for him but he could not take advantage of it. Exactly after 2 overs, he was out on the ball of Umar Nazir. He was caught out by Jammu and Kashmir captain Paras Dogra. 40 year old Paras took an excellent catch by making a long dive to the left in the extra covers and Rahane was out after scoring just 16 runs.
