Indian spin all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja created a stir with his brilliant performance in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 match on Thursday (January 23). Playing for Saurashtra against Delhi at Niranjan Shah Stadium Ground C, Jadeja took 5 wickets for 66 runs in 17.4 overs in the first innings. Jadeja made Sanat Sangwan, Yash Dhull, Ayush Badoni, Harsh Tyagi and Navdeep Saini his victims.
Jadeja achieved the feat of taking five wickets in an innings for the 35th time in first class cricket, while he has taken five wickets for the 18th time in Ranji Trophy history. Apart from this, he has become the fourth bowler from Saurashtra, who has taken 200 or more wickets in Ranji Trophy. Before him, only Dharmendra Singh Jadeja, Jaydev Unadkat and Kamlesh Makwana were able to do this.

Jadeja's record in first class cricket in Rajkot has been excellent, so far he has taken 138 wickets in 28 matches and scored 2475 runs in batting. In bowling, he has taken five wickets in an innings 13 times, while in batting he has scored 8 centuries, which includes a triple century.
It is noteworthy that due to Jadeja's brilliant bowling, Delhi team was all out for just 188 runs in the first innings of this match. For Delhi, captain Badoni scored 60 runs in 78 balls and Yash Dhull scored 44 runs in 76 balls. Mayank Gusain added 38 unbeaten runs in 45 balls. India's star batsman Rishabh Pant was out after scoring 1 run.
