Kolkata: Indian bowlers delivered an impressive performance to bundle England out for a paltry 132 runs in the first T20 International held in Kolkata on Wednesday.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav's decision to bowl first paid off handsomely as the bowlers exploited the conditions effectively.

Mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy emerged as the standout performer with figures of 3/23. Seamers Arshdeep Singh (2/17) and Hardik Pandya (2/42) played pivotal roles, while all-rounder Axar Patel contributed with 2/22, showcasing a balanced bowling attack.

England's batting woes
England captain Jos Buttler stood firm with a valiant 68 off 44 balls, anchoring the innings amid his teammates' struggles. Harry Brook added 17, and Jofra Archer managed 12, but the rest of the batting lineup faltered, with most players failing to reach double digits.
