Ireland knock Pakistan out of U19 Women’s T20 World Cup, qualify for Super Sixes

Komal Khan's Pakistan failed to qualify for the Super Sixes of the U19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025 with a shock defeat against Ireland.

On Wednesday, January 22, Ireland, led by Niamh MacNulty, stormed into the second round of the multi-nation event after beating Pakistan by 13 runs (DLS) in the Group B match at the Johor Cricket Academy Oval.

Pakistan finished at the bottom of the table with one point and a net run rate of -3.271 and went home without winning a single match in the tournament. Their first match against the United States was abandoned without a ball being bowled. Then they slumped to a six-wicket win at the hands of England before Ireland took them down in a rain-marred clash.
