Pakistan is going to host an ICC tournament after 26 years. Champions Trophy 2025 will start in Pakistan from 19th February. Pakistan Cricket Board is preparing vigorously for this tournament to be played between 8 teams. Except Team India, all other teams will tour Pakistan during this tournament. In such a situation, Pakistan has started strict security preparations. Thousands of policemen will be deployed for the security of the players during the tournament.

So many soldiers will be deployed for the security of the players

According to Pakistani media reports, Punjab Police has decided to deploy more than 12,000 police officers for tight security of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. These policemen will be deployed to ensure security during the high-profile matches to be held in Lahore and Rawalpindi. A contingent of 7,618 officers will be deployed on the ground to maintain security during the matches in Lahore. On the other hand, 4,535 police officers will be on duty in Rawalpindi. To strengthen surveillance, aerial surveillance will be done with the help of Pakistani Army and Rangers.

Players will get state guest status

According to reports, all the players participating in the Champions Trophy 2025 will be given state guest status. That means their safety will be the top priority. The routes leading to the venues will be monitored through Safe City cameras. So that any incident can be prevented. Let us tell you, Champions Trophy 2025 matches will be played at three places in Pakistan, which apart from Lahore and Rawalpindi, Karachi is also named.

A total of 15 matches will be played in the Champions Trophy

A total of 8 teams will play in the Champions Trophy, divided into two groups. Group A includes Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Bangladesh, while Group B includes Afghanistan, South Africa, England and Australia. There will be a total of 15 matches during the tournament from 19th February to 9th March, which apart from Pakistan will also be held in Dubai.
