So far, many spectacular and amazing catches have been taken in this season of BBL. In a match being played on Tuesday, January 21, a 24 year old player took an amazing catch. The catch was so amazing and spectacular that even Australia's legendary player Adam Gilchrist was left speechless after seeing it. A player jumped in the air and caught the ball with one hand and ended Matthew Wade's innings.
This brilliant catch was seen in the match being played between Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Sixers. The match is being played between the two teams at Bellerive Oval Cricket Stadium. Hobart batted first in the match. When the seventh over of Hobart's innings was going on, a spectacular catch was seen on the second ball of the over. Mitch Perry bowled the seventh over. Matthew Wade was on strike. He played a cut shot in an attempt to send the ball quickly towards the boundary. But Jack Edwards jumped in the air and caught the ball with one hand. Due to this, Wade had to return to the pavilion on a personal score of only 4 runs.

When Gilchrist, who was present in the commentary box, saw Edwards' brilliant fielding, he leaned back in his chair and his mouth remained open.
Batting first in the match, Hobart Hurricanes made a good score. Hobart scored 173 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Ben McDermott played the highest innings of 42 runs. Caleb Jewell scored 40 runs. Apart from him, Mitchell Owen contributed 36 runs in 15 balls and Team David contributed 25 runs in 10 balls. Ben Dvortius and Zafar Chauhan took two wickets each for Sydney Sixers.
