The T20 series between India and England is starting from Kolkata. The first match will be played at Eden Gardens on 22 January. The interesting thing is that England has announced its playing eleven a day before the match. England has selected a very powerful team which includes everything from stormy batsmen to amazing bowlers. The big news is that captain Jos Buttler has made two major changes in his role in this match. He is neither going to keep wickets nor will he open.
Ben Duckett and Phil Salt will open for England. Both these players did amazing batting in the T20 series against West Indies. After this, Jos Buttler is also seen in form, he can be seen batting at number three. Vice-captain Harry Brook will be seen at number four, he is in his best form currently. Liam Livingston can bat at the fifth position. At the sixth position will be seen left-handed batsman Jacob Bethal, who will play the match on Indian soil for the first time. This left-handed player has been included by RCB in its team for IPL 2025.
England's playing eleven includes all-rounder Jamie Overton, who along with excellent hitting, also bowls amazingly fast. Apart from his swing bowling, Gus Atkinson also bats well. The big news is that England also has two premium fast bowlers like Joffra Archer and Mark Wood in the playing eleven. The England team has specialist spinner Adil Rashid who also bats. Overall, England has chosen a very balanced playing eleven.
