MS Dhoni showed his blistering batting when he slammed three consecutive sixes on Hardik Pandya’s bowling. The veteran faced just 4 balls and accumulated an unbeaten 20 runs to take CSK’s total to 206/4 in 20 overs.

He came out to bat in the last over of the innings after Daryl Mitchell’s dismissal and took on Hardik from the third ball of the over. Mumbai Indians captain couldn’t contain the batter and paid the price for bowling lose deliveries.

Hardik took 2 wickets from his three overs and conceded 43 runs. Meanwhile, it was captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube’s special knocks that completely dismantled Mumbai’s bowling.

Ruturaj struck 69 runs off 40 balls, packed with 5 fours and as many sixes. Dube amassed 66 runs off 38 balls, with the help of 10 fours and 2 sixes.

Earlier, Hardik won the toss and elected to bowl first against the defending champions.
