Krishnamachari Srikanth has also raised questions on this. He said about the young batsman on his YouTube channel, 'They suddenly made Gill the vice-captain. He has not done anything special in the last one year. If we look at his last 10 innings of ODI, there is nothing special in them. What is so special in him that he should be made the vice-captain? I am surprised'.

Srikanth has been angry at Gill before also

This is not the first time that Srikanth has become angry at Gill in this manner. Earlier recently, he had raised questions on Gill's failure in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Gill's performance in the series against Australia was disappointing. Then Srikanth had said on his YouTube channel, 'Shubman Gill is in the team right now because he gets 10 chances and before that he fails in 9 and scores runs in the tenth. Because of that one innings, he gets 10 more chances to score runs.

Gill did not even score 350 runs in the last 10 ODI innings.
