Team India has been announced for the Champions Trophy. After a long time, Mohammed Shami and Hardik Pandya have returned to the ODI team. Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah are also part of the team. But all these four players have been struggling with injuries for the last few months. It is almost certain that all of them will play in the playing eleven of the Champions Trophy, but too much confidence cannot be expressed in their fitness, in such a situation, a big threat is looming over Team India. It should not happen that due to injuries to key players, Team India's Champions Trophy campaign gets derailed.

Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah suffered from back spasm during Australia's first innings in the Sydney Test. After this he was taken for scanning. He has been selected in the Champions Trophy team but his status of playing in this tournament is not clear yet. Bumrah will be scanned on February 2, after which a decision will be taken on him.

Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami suffered an ankle injury after the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup. Later he underwent surgery. He has been away from international cricket since then. But the selectors have expressed confidence in him for the Champions Trophy. Shami has recovered from injury. Recently he was also seen playing in domestic cricket. But it is not going to be easy for him to play in ODI cricket after about 14 months. But before that he will try to prove his fitness through the T20 series against England. He has also been selected in the T-20 team.

hardik pandya

Hardik Pandya will return to ODI cricket after more than 15 months through the Champions Trophy. Hardik has also been struggling with injury. Hardik suffered an ankle injury in the World Cup match against Bangladesh on 19 October 2023. From then till now he has not played any international ODI. But he has played in domestic cricket, IPL 2024 and T-20 World Cup. But the Champions Trophy will be played in 50 over format. Due to continuous injuries, Hardik was not even made the vice-captain of the Champions Trophy team. This responsibility has been handed over to young Shubman Gill.

Kuldeep Yadav

Team India's star spinner Kuldeep Yadav was injured during the first match of the home Test series against New Zealand in 2024. He suffered a groin injury and then underwent surgery. He is now completely recovered from this injury and along with the T-20 series against England starting from January 22, he has also been selected in the Champions Trophy team. Kuldeep has a good chance to make a comeback after injury and prove himself before the Champions Trophy.
