With Team India's defeat in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, the issue of leaking of the team's dressing room talks was in the news. There were also reports that head coach Gautam Gambhir was unhappy with the senior players due to their special demands. After this, recently BCCI made many rules to maintain unity and discipline in Team India. BCCI also banned players from taking their personal chefs with them on foreign tours. However, now the Indian Cricket Board has presented a new offer to its players. BCCI has offered its team that the team can take 2 chefs along with it.
Giving information about this, a BCCI source said, 'The team has been given an option, in which the board will appoint 2 new chefs, who will cater to the needs of the players. It has also been considered that the demands of the players will be different and what steps can be taken to meet their needs.
BCCI may have given the offer to its team but it is also a big challenge for the Indian Cricket Board. Actually, almost all the players of Team India follow a special diet plan and they eat different types of special food keeping their fitness in mind. In such a situation, it will be a difficult task for just two chefs to take care of the food of the entire team. At the same time, players may also face difficulty in fulfilling different diets as per their needs. It is being told that at present BCCI is considering this issue.
In the last few years in Indian cricket, it has been seen that almost all the leading players take their personal chef with them on tours. Let us tell you that along with proper eating habits, the cook also plays an important role in the fitness of a player. Chefs prepare food and serve it to the players as per their needs. However, now it remains to be seen how BCCI deals with this matter.
