The hours of waiting are over. Finally, after a long wait, BCCI has announced the Indian squad for the ICC Champions Trophy. Rohit Sharma will lead Team India in the Champions Trophy. Young batsman Shubman Gill has been made the vice-captain. The 15-member Team India has been announced in the presence of selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar. Among these 15 players, there are only three players who have the experience of playing and winning the Champions Trophy and now in 2025, all three of them will again enter the Champions Trophy. These three names are- Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja.

Rohit is the only centurion of the current team India (in Champions Trophy)

Rohit Sharma is the only batsman of the current Indian team to score a century in the Champions Trophy. Rohit has played the Champions Trophy in 2013 and 2017 and he will now lead Team India in this tournament for the first time. Rohit has so far scored 481 runs in 10 matches in this tournament with the help of one century and four half-centuries.

Virat Kohli has been playing Champions Trophy since 2009

This will be Virat Kohli's fourth Champions Trophy. Before 2017 and 2013, he had also been a part of Team India in the Champions Trophy in 2009. So far he has played 13 matches in this ICC tournament and has scored 529 runs with the help of 5 half centuries. However, Virat has not been able to score a century in this tournament till now in 16 years. His average is more than 88 and Virat's highest score is 96 not out.

Jadeja is the most successful Indian bowler

After 2013 and 2017, Ravindra Jadeja is ready to play the Champions Trophy once again. It is noteworthy that Jadeja is India's most successful bowler in this tournament. Former fast bowler Zaheer Khan had taken 15 wickets in nine matches, while Jadeja has taken the maximum of 16 wickets in the 10 matches played so far. Apart from this, Jadeja has also scored 95 runs. All three of them played a special role in making Team India champion in 2013.
