The long wait of Indian cricket fans is over. The squad of the Indian team for the Champions Trophy 2025 and the ODI series to be played against England has been revealed. Team India's chief selector Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma announced the team in a press conference. The same team has been selected for the England Series and the Champions Trophy, there is only one difference between the two teams. A young bowler has been selected in place of Jasprit Bumrah for the England series.

This young fast bowler will play in place of Bumrah

Experienced bowler Jasprit Bumrah in the team is currently suffering from injury. In such a situation, the biggest question was whether he would be selected for the Champions Trophy or not. However, Bumrah has been included in the team. But his fitness is still under question. The decision on whether he will play in the Champions Trophy or not will be taken soon. In such a situation, the selectors have selected Harshit Rana in place of Jasprit Bumrah in the team for the ODI series to be played against England.

Team India's Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar, while talking about Bumrah in the press conference, said, 'Bumrah has been asked to rest for five weeks and he will not be available for the first two ODIs against England.' That means, if everything goes well, then Bumrah can be seen in the last match of the series or he will directly go to play the Champions Trophy.

Final decision on Bumrah will be taken on 2 February

Let us tell you, Bumrah was injured during the last match of the Australia tour. Jasprit Bumrah was taken to the hospital for a scan mid-match. Bumrah had back cramps and was feeling uncomfortable. In such a situation, Bumrah will undergo scans again on February 2, only after which a decision will be taken whether he will play the Champions Trophy or not. If Bumrah does not become a part of this tournament, then changes will be made in the team's squad.
