Indian cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma recalled a hilarious story from the time when he made his debut for the national side and revealed that Yuvraj Singh 'liked to scare people'. During his appearance on the 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' in Netflix, host Kapil Sharma asked Rohit as his early experiences in the Indian cricket team and which senior player scared him the most when he joined the team. Rohit quickly responded that it was Yuvraj Singh and added that the legendary all-rounder wanted to "make a point".
"Not just me. Every new player who came in the team. He thought he is the senior player. I do not even know if he was that senior but he had to make a point. Whenever a new player joined the team," he said.

Rohit also spoke about an incident involving Yuvraj during the early days of his career. Rohit sat down on Yuvraj's seat on the team bus and that led to a hilarious exchange between the two cricketers.
"When I first came into the side, I got up in the team bus and unfortunately sat down at his seat. That became a problem. I did not know players have their preferred seats. So, Yuvi pa being Yuvi pa just made eye contact with me and gestured me to move. RP Singh was sitting behind me and he explained that it was Yuvraj's seat. I thought I missed the name written on the seat," Rohit recalled the story with a smile.
"He liked to scare people. He liked scarring us," he added leaving the audience in splits.
Meanwhile, rumours continue to make the rounds regarding Rohit's future with Mumbai Indians after he was removed as the captain of the franchise. Hardik Pandya, who completed a sensational trade from Gujarat Titans ahead of the IPL 2024, ended Rohit's ten-year tenure as MI captain.
