Women's Under-19 T-20 World Cup is being played on Malaysian soil. It has started from 18th January. All World Cup matches will be held in four stadiums in Malaysia. A total of 6 matches are to be played on the very first day. The first match was played between Scotland and Australia. In which Australia defeated Scotland badly and won brilliantly. First, Australia bowled out Scotland for just 48 runs. After this, Australia made a strong start to their campaign by achieving a spectacular victory in the 7th over itself.
The opening match of the Women's Under-19 T-20 World Cup between Scotland and Australia was played at the YSD-UKM Cricket Oval ground in Bangi. In this, the Australian team performed strongly and won unilaterally. Whereas Scotland's fate was very bad. Batting first, Scotland women's team could not even score 50 runs. She collapsed in front of the Australian bowlers for just 48 runs on the first ball of the 16th over (15.1 overs).

Emma Walsingham scored the maximum 12 runs for Scotland. The second highest score was 10 runs which was made by Charlotte Nevard. Naima Shaikh was out on 6 runs. Apart from this, 2 runs came from Pippa Kelly's bat, 3 runs came from Pippa Sproul's bat and 4 runs came from Amy Baldi's bat, while three batsmen could not even open their account. These included Niyama Muir, Maisie McKerra and Christy McCall. All three batsmen were out on 0 and returned to the pavilion.
The Australian bowlers did not give any chance to the Scottish batsmen to stay on the crease. Scotland's batsmen kept coming and going after losing their wickets. Two Australian bowlers mainly contributed to this bad fate of Scotland. Eleanor LaRosa and Kayomhe Bray both took three wickets each. Whereas Hasrat Gill took two wickets. Tegan Williamson and Juliet Morton got one success each. Australia won the match by achieving the small target of 49 runs in 6.4 overs. Kate Pelley played an unbeaten inning of 29 runs in 18 balls.
