Prithvi Shaw watched this match with Arjun Tendulkar. Then Prithvi came to Wankhede Stadium for the first time. His age was only 11 years. Prithvi further said, 'Arjun and I sat together and watched the final match live. I can never forget that moment when Team India lifted the trophy. As a child, I always wished that I would get a chance to play at Wankhede Stadium someday and now look, we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of this stadium. I think we all should celebrate this special occasion together. Further, Prithvi appealed to the people of Mumbai and said, you all come on 19th January and make the program special.

Out of Ranji team, Shaw not sold even in IPL

Shaw made his debut for Team India in Test in 2018, ODI in 2020 and T-20 International in 2021. Sometimes he was compared with legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara and Virender Sehwag. But then due to continuous poor form and fitness, it became difficult for him to progress in international cricket. Prithvi was not bought by any team even in the IPL 2025 auction. He was also dropped from Mumbai team in Ranji Trophy.
