But Saqib has been given visa to tour India. Soon this bowler of Pakistani origin will be seen playing against Team India on Indian soil.

Recently, England had announced its squad for the ODI and T-20 series against India. England also gave place to bowler Shakib in both formats of the team. However, there were reports about him that he was facing visa related problems and clouds of trouble were looming over his visit to India. But now India has given visa to this player.

According to a report in Daily Mail, Saqib was informed on Thursday morning that his visa has been approved. The England team can reach India on Friday to play eight consecutive matches against India. 27 year old Saqib Mahmood will also be with the team. Well, let us tell you that this was not the first time that Saqib had to go through visa related problems to tour India. Earlier twice his visa to visit India was not approved by the Government of India.

Saqib did not get visa in 2019 and 2024

Saqib was born in United Kingdom. But he is of Pakistani origin. His parents belong to Pakistan. Shakib was part of England Lions in 2019 when he was to come for India tour but his visa was not approved. After this, in the year 2024 also he had to face the same problem. Lancashire Cricket Club traveled to Bengaluru in 2024 for pre-season practice. Saqib was also supposed to come with the team but he was still not given a visa.
