BCCI has prepared to give a big blow to the players of the Indian cricket team. BCCI has made some rules for the families of players. Now he will not be able to stay with the players for the entire tour. If reports are to be believed, it was discussed in the BCCI meeting that the players' wives and families will not stay with them during the entire tour. If the tour is of 45 days then the players' family or wife will be able to stay with them only for 14 days. If the tour is shorter then the family will not be able to stay with them for more than 7 days. The question is why has BCCI decided to do all this? After all, what problem did BCCI face with those close to the players? Let us tell you the big reason for this.
BCCI is the richest cricket board in the world, hence the money spent on the players' families is not a problem for it, but the biggest problem is logistics. Yes, when the families of the players are with them during the entire tour, it is the responsibility of BCCI to take care of them. BCCI has to take full care of the players in and out. This responsibility lies with the managers associated with Team India.
The biggest thing here is that it is easy to take care of the players but it is a bit difficult to manage their families. An example of this was seen in the year 2020 when BCCI had to struggle to handle the families of Indian players during the Australia tour. Apart from the players and support staff of Team India, there were also family members on that tour and this number was more than 40. In such a situation, even two buses were falling short for them. Besides, arranging match tickets for the players' families was also proving costly. BCCI officials faced this problem even during the 2019 World Cup.
If players' families are with them on long tours, then some other things are also seen. For example, if the wife and girlfriend stay together during the tour, then the players are seen with them in their free time. He goes out for walks and goes out with them. For team bonding, it is important that the players go out together and enjoy together, but this does not happen with the family. Players can talk more openly if their families are together. Can go to each other's rooms without any restrictions. Hesitation is possible in the face of family. This decision may prove to be right to keep the player completely focused on the game. Many big teams of the world take such decisions before big tournaments or matches. It is possible that BCCI has also taken this decision after watching the Champions Trophy.
