Yograj Singh, father of former Team India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, is once again in the headlines. Yograj Singh, who often gets into controversies due to his sharp statements, is in the news this time too for similar reasons. Some of his statements are currently in the news from media to social media. But along with this he has also made a revelation about Arjun Tendulkar. Former Indian bowler Yograj has told that some people were afraid of his name, that is why Arjun Tendulkar did not return to him after a few days of training.

Arjun, son of great batsman Sachin Tendulkar, trained with Yograj about two years ago. Yuvraj Singh's father, who runs his own cricket academy in Punjab, had given Arjun a chance to practice in his academy for a few days. During this time, Yograj himself paid full attention to Arjun and along with bowling, also helped him in improving his batting. Its effect was visible when the left-handed all-rounder scored a century for Goa in the Ranji Trophy and also took a few wickets while debuting for Mumbai in the IPL.

Yograj made revelations on Arjun

However, Arjun has not returned since then and now Yograj himself has revealed about it. In an interview, when Yograj was asked why he no longer trains Arjun, he said, “Sachin's son came here for 12 days and then he scored a century. When he scored a century and then came to the IPL, people started fearing that his name (Yograj) would get stuck with him. You understand what I'm saying, right? People were very afraid of this.”

Yograj's reference was towards his controversial and very harsh personality, due to which he often remains in the news. He also asked to talk to his son Yuvraj. Yograj told, “I told Yuvi to talk to Sachin and hand over Arjun to me for a year, then let's see what happens.” Apparently, Arjun did not return to Yograj again after that 12 days of training.

First told best, then said coal

Yograj Singh, who played 1 Test and 6 ODI matches for India, trained Arjun for a few days in Chandigarh in 2022 and said that he is a very talented all-rounder and teams are not using him properly. He even said that Arjun has the potential to become like a crown prince. However, Arjun has not been able to perform as per expectations till now. Last year itself, Yograj had given a controversial statement about Arjun and called him coal.
