In the beginning, my favorite player was Chris Gayle and I liked him very much because he used to dominate the bowlers from the beginning. That's why I chose jersey number 45 during the match.”
The wicketkeeper batsman further said, “I was also very impressed by Matthew Hayden and then saw Brendon McCullum playing. So, I have also learned a lot from Michael Clarke and I tried to incorporate the way he used to bat against spinners in my life as well. I went through many phases and that's probably why I liked the way many batsmen played. I saw many wicketkeepers and thought that with this technique I too can do the same.”
