Sunil Gavaskar has shared his plans with Chennai Super Kings bowlers to dismiss Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav in the most-awaited match of the Indian Premier League 2024. Rohit and Suryakumar will be Mumbai’s main batters against the defending champions at the Wankhede Stadium.
CSK speedster Mustafizur Rahman has done well so far and could trouble the hosts on April 14. The Bangladesh pacer has dismissed Rohit five times in 20 international games since 2015.
“Rohit and SKY like the ball coming off the surface. However, if a bowler balls a slower delivery, it becomes difficult for them to middle it. This is why they look to play from outside the off-stump and are often dismissed while trying to play sweep shots. This ploy is good against them.
Gavaskar also praised Mustafizur for his impressive bowling. He has taken 9 wickets at an economy rate of 8.
“Mustafizur has been amazing for Chennai Super Kings. He is slower ones and bouncer have caused problems. He is bowling better what we have seen from him in the last year or so. He is confident and is making the ball to do all the talking,” Gavaskar added.
