West Indies all-rounder player Sherfane Rutherford has also appeared in IPL. At the same time, he also plays Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Sherfen broke his silence on this incident and expressed his displeasure and said that it is important to respect a player.

Rutherford made these allegations against the owner of CPL franchise

Rutherford has broken his silence after the controversy that broke out after a match in CPL 2024. In the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots vs. Barbados Royals match, Rutherford's team St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots lost. After this the management asked him to leave the team. The owner sent a message to Rutherford blaming him for the defeat. On this matter, Sherfane now said in a conversation with Cricbuzz, 'It is important that you respect the player because at the end of the day I did what I should have done. I didn't lose intentionally. After the match against Barbados, the owner sent me a message and said that the team had lost because of me. I told him that this is not the right time to send a message to any player.

Team owner has no knowledge of cricket

Rutherford further said about the owner of St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots team that he has no knowledge of cricket. 26-year-old Rutherford said, we are also professional Khuladis. There are feelings and emotions around us too. If we don't perform well then we also get hurt. He (team owner) has not played this game. He has no knowledge of cricket. So how will you know what is good and what is bad? All this can be seen in cricket. At the end of the day our decision can take us forward, so I think they have made a mistake.

Sherfane Rutherford will be seen in IPL 2025

Sherfane's performance in CPL 2024 was poor. He had scored only 35 runs in four matches. Now he will be seen in IPL 2025. Gujarat had bought him in the auction for Rs 2.60 crore. Earlier he was a part of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024.
