Yograj Singh, father of former Team India batsman Yuvraj Singh, often remains in the headlines due to his statements. Often Yograj also refreshes old memories with his statements. Now he has made another big revelation. Yuvraj's father Yograj told that once in anger he had reached Kapil Dev's house with a gun to kill him. However, he did not do so because of Kapil Dev's mother. After this he returned from Kapil Dev's house.
While talking to Unfiltered by Samdish, Yogra Singh said, 'When Kapil Dev became the captain of India, North Zone and Haryana, he dropped me from the team without any reason. My wife wanted me to ask questions to Kapil. I told him, 'I will teach this man a lesson.' I took out my pistol and went to Kapil's house in Sector 9. He came out with his mother. I abused her a dozen times. I told him, because of you I have lost a friend, and you will have to pay the price for what you have done.
Yograj further told that he had not fired the bullet because of Kapil Dev's mother. Yograj further said, 'I told him (Kapil) that 'I want to shoot you in the head, but I will not do that because you have a very pious mother, who is standing here'. After this Yograj returned with his wife.
Like Yuvraj Singh, his father Yograj could not become a big and successful cricketer. He wanted to make a career in cricket but he was disappointed. His career was limited to just 7 matches. He took one wicket while playing one test for India. Yograj took 4 wickets in six ODI matches. Yograj made his ODI debut in 1980 and his Test debut in 1981. However, his international career also came to an end in the year 1981 itself.
