IPL 2025 Rules and Regulations set to have great changes: Game-changing Code of Conduct

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2925 is going to start march 21. The tournament will be played with changes in the rules and regulations.

The IPL 2025 is reported to adopt ICC's code of conduct player behaviour. this decision was made during a BCCI's Governing Council meeting.

'From now on, the ICC's sanctioned penalties will be imposed for Level 1, 2 or 3 offences. Till date, IPL had its own Code of Conduct but going forward, Playing Conditions will be followed as per ICC T20I regulations,' an IPL GC member told PTI.

The 2023 IPL season had witnessed a total of 10 Code of Conduct violations. The first one involved Kolkata Knight riders' Harshit Rana, who got charged with two level 1 offences against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Rana gave a flying-kiss send-off to Mayank Agarwal, a gesture that is deemed inappropriate. He got fined 60% of his match fee for this.

Likewise, other players namely Tim David, Kieron Pollard, virat Kohli, Sam Curran, Rasikh Salam Dar ,and Ishan Kishan, were also claimed to have mae Level 1 offenses during their matches.

All the 10 teams are going into the IPL 2025 after securing their squads in the mega auctions, held over in Jeddah Saudi Arabia, where a total of 182 players were sold and a huge amount of money was spent by all the franchises combined.
