India's speed star Mayank Yadav has played only 3 T20 International matches in his career so far. Although this figure could have increased if he had not been continuously injured. Mayank Yadav is constantly facing injuries. Once again this young bowler has got injured. Mayank is suffering from a back injury. However, former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg has raised questions regarding this. He has also taken a dig at Mayank.
On Mayank Yadav's injury, Hogg said on his YouTube channel, 'He (Mayank Yadav) is prone to injury because he is young. I am looking at his first class cricket statistics, he has played only one first class match. He hasn't played much in the longer format either so I think it's just because of his pace. There are some other bowlers who are similar to him who are above 145-150.
He bowls at 100 speed, but I think he only wants to get an IPL contract. They are happy with it and this is the end.
Brad Hogg also said that Mayank needs to learn, he does not know how to bowl from inside. In Hogg's eyes, Mayank is just a T-20 bowler. Brad Hogg further said, 'Once he gets the IPL contract everything goes out of the window. They don't learn to play the longer format of the game. They don't know how to bowl from within, they don't have patience. They have not been taught to have that patience.
If Mayank Yadav had been fit, he could have got a place in India's T20 team against England. Five T-20 matches between the two teams are starting from January 22. Team India has recently been announced for this. Due to continuous injury, Mayank has played only 3 T-20 International matches so far, in which he has taken 4 wickets in his name.
