The Indian team has to play a 5-match T20 series against England at home. BCCI has announced the squad of Team India for this. Mohammed Shami, who was out of action for almost a year due to injury, has returned. The first match of the series will be played on January 22 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, in which it is considered certain that they will play. That means he will play T20 matches there after about 2 years. But now questions are being raised that to defeat the strong team of England, which players will captain Suryakumar Yadav give a chance in the playing eleven and whom will he drop for Shamik? Let us know.
Before knowing about playing against England, it is important to know which players have got a chance in the 15-member squad. If we compare with the recent T20 series on South Africa tour, some players have returned. Wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma has been dropped and Sanju Samson has been given a chance. Ramandeep Singh, Avesh Khan, Yash Dayal and Vishak Vijaykumar have also been out of the squad.
Now their place has been taken by Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana, Mohammed Shami and Washington Sundar. There is no change expected in the top-6 players of the playing 11 during the first T20 against England. Changes can be made only in the lower order. It is believed that Mohammed Shami will definitely play. That means for them one bowler will have to sacrifice. Apart from this, the seat of Nitish Kumar Reddy, who showed strength against Australia, is considered confirmed.
In the last two matches against South Africa, the Indian team came with only one main pacer and that was Arshdeep Singh. In these matches, the Indian team was second fast bowler Hardik Pandya and third all-rounder Ramandeep Singh. In the first two matches, Avesh Khan played as the second fast bowler. But now both are not part of the team. That means Nitish can easily replace Ramandeep. Shami will get the place of Avesh Khan. But if the Indian team goes with only one main pacer and three spinners, then Ravi Bishnoi may have to sit out along with Arshdeep Singh.
