Delhi: In the second match of SA20 played at Kingsmead, Durban, Durban Super Giants defeated Pretoria Capitals by 2 runs in a thrilling match on the last ball. However, a moment came in this match which attracted the attention of all the spectators.
In the 17th over of the Super Giants' innings, Kane Williamson hit a brilliant six off the ball of Ethan Bosch towards deep mid-wicket. During this, a spectator took such a spectacular catch with one hand that it started being discussed more than the match itself.
The special thing about this catch was that the spectator got a reward of 2 million South African Rand (about Rs 90 lakh) for it. According to the rules of the league, if a spectator above 18 years of age catches a six with one hand, he gets a prize of 1 million rand. If the viewer is already a customer of the league's title sponsor, the prize money is doubled.
Commentator Mark Nicholls said on this catch, “Does this guy play cricket? If yes, then it should get three times the reward. That was a great catch.”
Batting first, DSG set a target of 210 runs for 4 wickets. Kane Williamson scored unbeaten 60 runs in 40 balls. Opener Bryce Persons played a quick inning of 47 runs in 28 balls, while Mulder strengthened the team's score by scoring 45 runs in just 19 balls.
