Even without captain Harmanpreet Singh and star fast bowler Renuka Singh, the Indian women's cricket team started the ODI series against Ireland with a win. In the first match of the ODI series played in Rajkot, Team India registered an easy victory by 7 wickets on the basis of the excellent performance of the young players with ball and bat. While 20-year-old leg spinner Priya Mishra and Under-19 World Cup winning Titas Sadhu were brilliant in bowling, new openers Pratika Rawal and Tejal Hasanbiss scored strong half-centuries in batting. In this way, for the first time, Team India defeated Ireland in an ODI match on its own soil.
