On Thursday, the match was played between defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape and MI Cape Town at the St. George Park Stadium in Port Elizabeth. Sunrisers Eastern Cape had to face a crushing defeat in this match. The biggest reason for this was Delano Potgieter. He played a stormy unbeaten inning of 25 runs in 12 balls. The special thing was that he was seen batting with Virat's bat. This bat was gifted to him by Kohli and he played brilliantly on the field using it in this match.

Wreaked havoc with the ball after the bat

Batting first in the match, MI Cape Town scored 174 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Sunrisers Eastern Cape team was reduced to 77 runs. The biggest reason for this was Potgieter. After bat, Potgieter wreaked havoc with the ball also. He bowled three overs and spent only 10 runs, taking 5 wickets and sending half the team to the pavilion.
