Delhi: Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir is in the headlines these days. Team India is not performing well under his leadership. Recently, India lost 1-3 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy played against Australia. After this many people are raising questions on Gambhir's coaching.

Manoj Tiwari made allegations

Gautam Gambhir's former teammate Manoj Tiwari also criticized him. He said, “Gambhir himself does not follow what he says. There are many people associated with Mumbai in the team, like captain Rohit Sharma and Abhishek Nair in the coaching staff. But, no one speaks for such players who perform well quietly, like Jalaj Saxena.”

'All credit goes to Gambhir'

Manoj also said, “What does a bowling coach mean, whenever something is said, he accepts it. There are many old relationships in the coaching team, like Morne Morkel is associated with Lucknow Super Giants and Abhishek Nair has previously worked with Gambhir in KKR.

The former KKR player further said, “Gambhir did not take KKR to the IPL title single-handedly. Jacques Kallis, Sunil Narayan and I also contributed to the team. But, every time all the credit is given to Gambhir. “There is an environment and PR that works in their favour.”

Support of Nitish Rana and Harshit Rana

Amidst the criticism on Gautam Gambhir, Nitish Rana supported him. Nitish, who played for KKR from 2018 to 2024, wrote on social media, “Criticism should be based on facts and not on anyone's insecurities. Gauti Bhaiya is the most selfless player I have ever met. He always takes responsibility in difficult times. Performance does not need any PR. The trophies speak for them.”

KKR player Harshit Rana also supported Gambhir through Instagram story. He said that whatever is being said about Gambhir is not correct.
