It is also not clear at the moment whether the practice matches are being organized by the ICC for all the teams including India or whether the BCCI is making arrangements at its own level to make the preparations of Team India absolutely solid. With this match, Team India will try to adapt itself not only at the level of skills but also at the level of conditions.

Preparation will be done for ODI series also

Due to very short time between the end of the India-England series and the beginning of the tournament, it is possible for Team India to play only one practice match. In such a situation, all the players including captain Rohit Sharma will have to test themselves completely in the ODI series against England. This series will start from 6th February and the last ODI match of the series will be played on 12th February. The first match of the series will be played in Vadodara, the second in Cuttack and the third at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Only after this Team India will leave for Dubai.

When and who will Team India face?

The ICC Champions Trophy is to start from February 19, while Team India will play its first match of the group round against Bangladesh on February 20. Apart from Bangladesh, along with Team India, there are also teams of Pakistan and New Zealand in the group. The most important match will be played in Dubai on 23rd February, when Team India will face Pakistan. Team India's match against New Zealand will be held on March 2.
