Sam Constance made his Test debut against Team India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. This player is only 19 years old and everyone praised the way he faced Bumrah's balls. But former England fast bowler Steve Harmison believes that Sam Constance's Test career will end before 10 matches. Harmison has made this claim in a conversation with Talk Sports. The question is how did Harmison say such a big thing about a player whom Australian cricket experts are considering as a future legend.
Steve Harmison claimed on Sam Constas that he does not have defensive technique. Harmison said, 'I think Constus will not be able to play even 10 Test matches. But sometimes it seems that this player is a superstar. He has ramp shots, scoops, he can play big shots but for opening batting you need to have defensive technique.
Sam Constance has got a place in the Australian team for the Sri Lanka tour. The real test of Constance's technique will be in Sri Lanka because it is very difficult to defeat this team at its own home. Left arm spinner Prabhat Jayasuriya will give the real test to Constance on the spin friendly pitch of Sri Lanka. Even good batsmen seem to be in trouble in front of Prabhat Jayasuriya. He had made Babar Azam suffer badly. Now it remains to be seen how Constas will perform if he gets a chance in the Test against Sri Lanka.
