Mohammed Shami is out of Team India since the final of the World Cup 2023. He could not even play the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. But now Shami has made preparations for his comeback. Before the team selection for the Champions Trophy and England ODI series, Mohammed Shami has wreaked havoc with the ball. Shami is currently playing in Vijay Hazare Trophy and this fast bowler took 3 wickets against Haryana. Shami definitely gave away 61 runs in his 10 overs but the important thing here is that this player bowled 60 balls without any problem. These 10 overs of Shami are proof that he is ready to return to Team India.

Shami took 3 wickets

Shami made Haryana's opener Himanshu Rana the first victim, this batsman could score only 14 runs. After this, Shami dismissed wicketkeeper Dinesh Bana for 15 runs in the middle overs and Shami also dismissed Anshul Kamboj. Apart from Shami, another fast bowler Mukesh Kumar also took 2 wickets. However, Haryana team managed to score 298 runs in 50 overs.

Shami is practicing

Shami had an ankle operation last year and was out of the field for a long time but after this the fast bowler played the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and performed well there and now Shami is performing well in Vijay Hazare also. He has taken 5 wickets in 3 matches so far.

Team India's selection for England T20, ODI series and Champions Trophy is to be held on January 11 and Shami may get a chance in it. It is believed that Bumrah may not be able to play the Champions Trophy. Bumrah was injured in the Sydney Test. If Bumrah is unable to play the Champions Trophy, then Shami will have the responsibility of leading the bowling unit of Team India. Shami's performance in ICC tournaments has also been excellent. He has taken a total of 55 wickets in 18 ODIs in ICC tournaments.
