Aakash Chopra is backing Shivam Dube to hit the ball a mile away in the IPL 2024 match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium.
The five-time champions will clash on Sunday, April 14. The visiting team hasn’t won a game outside its home in the 17th season of the tournament.
Aakash made a big prediction about the Shivam Dube.
“Shivam Dube will hit the ball far away against Mumbai Indians. He can hit the balls out of the ground. Dube will smash the balls to Marine Drive, Church Gate, and Air India building, He will be a threat for MI,” Aakash Chopra said.
The former opener said that Dube would like to be named in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 squad.
“You will have to score runs in high-profile games to make a buzz. Dube has the talent to consistently hit boundaries. He will be looking to perform in a big game against MI as performances in such games will confirm his place in the Team India squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in June,’ he added.
Dube is CSK’s highest run-getter in IPL 2024, with 176 runs at a strike rate of 160 in five innings.
