A big threat is currently looming over Pakistan and its cricket board PCB. There is a danger that Pakistan may face embarrassment in front of the whole world. Now you must be wondering what is the matter? In fact, there are reports that Pakistan may lose the hosting rights of the Champions Trophy because its venues have not been ready yet. The Champions Trophy is to start from 19th February and the first match will be played in Pakistan. Champions Trophy matches are to be held in 3 stadiums of Pakistan in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi. The amazing thing is that these three stadiums are not ready yet.

ICC will inspect Pakistan's stadium next week

Now only 40 days are left for the start of the Champions Trophy and construction is still going on in all three stadiums of Pakistan. There are reports that next week ICC officials will go to Pakistan and inspect the stadiums of Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore. PCB has been given a deadline to prepare the stadium at the right time. If PCB misses this deadline and the venues are not ready as per ICC's checklist, then the entire tournament may be shifted from Pakistan. In that case, the entire Champions Trophy will be organized in UAE.

clouds of crisis over pakistan

Talking about the stadiums of Pakistan, Gaddafi Stadium is not ready yet. Neither are there any sheds installed there, nor are there any flood lights installed there. Not only this, chairs have also not been installed for the fans. The deadline for complete preparation of the stadium is January 25 and it is feared that the entire work will hardly be completed by this date.

Pakistan Cricket Board fought a big battle with ICC to play India at home. PCB wanted Team India to enter their country to play the tournament, to which BCCI clearly refused. Finally PCB agreed to the hybrid model and Team India is going to play its matches in Dubai. But now if the entire tournament is shifted to Dubai, it will definitely tarnish Pakistan's prestige.
