However, the squad for ODI series and Champions Trophy can also be announced on the same day. This is because the last date to send the squad to ICC for the Champions Trophy is January 12.

Most of the players who toured South Africa in November are likely to be selected for the T20 series. Yashasvi Jaiswal will return for this series, it will be worth watching. However, most eyes are on whether this young batsman will get a chance in the ODI team for the first time or not. Jaiswal had made his debut for India in Test and T20 in 2023 itself but he has not got a chance in ODI yet.
